Though I can speak and understand Urdu fairly well, I was totally unable to read and write. So joining Abhishek Shukla-ji’s classes on zoom was the best thing I could have done to study Urdu properly.
Shukla-ji is a fine and patient teacher who communicates clearly and precisely. He makes sure that everyone in the class has understood the lesson of the day. His classes are never dull, there is always a sense of fun and seriousness and this is appreciated by all the students online. His understanding of poetry, besides being a poet himself, adds a literary slant to the learning of Urdu.
Anyone who wants to study this wonderful language from scratch, or from a higher level, will learn from Shukla-ji’s methodical teaching.
